These Terms of Use govern your use of Footages, a footage manager for macOS developed by Nikita Somenkov. By downloading or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
License
Footages is distributed through the Mac App Store and is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of the application is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may use Footages on any Mac you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.
Your content
All footage, metadata and other content you manage with Footages is yours and remains on your storage. Footages does not claim any rights to your files and does not upload them anywhere. You are responsible for the content you import and for having the rights to use it.
Backups and data safety
Footages is built to treat your files with care — imports are verified with checksums, removing an item from the library never deletes files, and the app tracks every copy across your drives. Nevertheless, Footages is a tool for managing your own storage, not a backup service: you remain responsible for maintaining backups of your footage and for the reliability of your disks, SSDs and network storage. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for loss of data.
No warranty
Footages is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to make the application reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the application, including loss of data, loss of profits or business interruption.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the application evolves; the revision date above will change accordingly. Continued use of Footages after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
